Introduction to GAME MASTER

Welcome to TRAPPED MIDTOWN , a premier destination for immersive entertainment and challenging escape room adventures in Midtown Toronto! Our escape rooms offer a unique opportunity for guests to test their problem-solving skills, teamwork, and creativity while stepping into engaging storylines. We’re looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Game Masters , where you’ll play a vital role in delivering unforgettable experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities :

As a Game Master, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless, exciting, and safe experience. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Customer Engagement :  Welcome and brief customers, make them feel the experience for their adventure, and explain rules and storylines with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Game Facilitation :  Guide customers through their escape room experience, provide timely hints, and ensure smooth gameplay.
  • Safety and Security :  Monitor activities to ensure guest safety and adherence to game rules.
  • Customer Service :   Offer exceptional service from the moment customers arrive until they leave, creating memorable experiences that they’ll want to share.
  • Game Monitoring and Hints :   Observe game progress via monitoring systems and provide hints or support to keep the excitement alive.
  • Game Reset and Maintenance :   Reset and prepare rooms for the next group, ensuring all props, puzzles, and elements are in excellent condition and aligned with the storyline.
  • Energetic and Positive Attitude :   Bring enthusiasm to every shift, keeping customers engaged and entertained throughout their visit and specially when the game is about to end to give them a walk through.

Requirements :

To thrive as a Game Master, you’ll need :

  • Availability :  Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and weekdays. Able to cope with the special store operation hours due to the nature of the business. (Up to 12am on Weekends for closing shifts or on Holidays)
  • Education :  High school diploma or higher ( backgrounds in theatre, entertainment, media, or gaming industries is a plus).
  • Communication Skills :  Excellent communicator and top-notch customer service skills.
  • Energy and Enthusiasm :   A positive and energetic attitude to keep customers engaged during gameplay.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities :   Strong critical thinking skills to assist players effectively and handle challenges. Handle any issues or conflicts that arise during gameplay in a professional manner.
  • Multi-tasking Proficiency :   Ability to juggle various responsibilities smoothly in a fast-paced environment. Participating in marketing efforts such as engaging on social media or assisting with promotional content creation.
  • Attention to Detail :   Keen eye for spotting errors in room setups and maintaining an immersive experience.
  • Physical Capability :   Comfortable resetting rooms, handling props, and managing physical tasks.
  • Passion for Games and Entertainment :   A love for interactive entertainment, puzzles, and escape rooms is a must!
  • Health and Hygiene : Game master ensures the gaming area is clean and organized before, during, and after sessions and also the facility at any given point.
