Today we are confirming our search for a Property Accountant to support the accurate and timely accounting of a portfolio of our properties. This role is well suited for an early career accountant who is eager to learn, take ownership of their work, and grow into a strong performer within a high accountability environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members and property operations to ensure reliable financial reporting and day to day execution.

This is a hands-on role with exposure to core property accounting activities and opportunities to develop technical skills, business understanding, and professional judgement. In addition to the duties typically expected of a junior level accounting professional, responsibilities will include :

Property Accounting and Reporting

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for an assigned portfolio of properties.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments related to property operations, capital activity, and renovations.
• Complete bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with established timelines.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported.
• Assist with variance analysis and preparation of basic financial summaries for property operations.
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules including property taxes, utilities, and other recurring items.

The approximate salary range for this role is $45,000$60,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, educational attainment, professional designations, internal equity, and other job related requirements.
