Understance is a lingerie company based in Vancouver, BC. Our mission is to empower people to discover the transformative power of comfort and support. We aim to address common, but long overlooked undergarment fit and feel issues. We operate an online store and brick-and-mortar store in downtown Vancouver, with an expansion to Burnaby, British Columbia on the way.

Job Overview :

We are now looking for a candidate to help us grow and maintain our wholesale operations.

Position : Wholesale Manager

Terms of Employment : Full-time, permanent position

Hours of Work : 40 hours per week, Hybrid-remote work (approximately 50 / 50 split between in-person and remote work). Monday to Friday, occasional weekends needed.

Language of Work : English

Location : Head office or retail store located in Vancouver

Salary : $75,600 per year

Benefits : Extended health care, dental and vision care, paid time off and bonus pay

Responsibilities :

The Wholesale Manager is responsible for overseeing Understance's wholesale operations, including :

  • Oversee Understance’s participation in industry tradeshows;
  • Negotiate wholesale terms and conditions;
  • Maintain current wholesale accounts, including drafting orders, coordinating shipments, and notifying wholesalers of product launches / restocks and coordinating order placements / returns / exchanges ;
  • Reach out to potential wholesalers via email and phone;
  • Product development input : collect client product feedback; analyze wholesale performance data and assist with product development and identifying marketing opportunities;
  • Run trunk shows in select areas in Canada and the U.S.;
  • Complete 1-2 shifts a week at the Robson store; and
  • Maintain a database of wholesalers and wholesale orders.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or Master's in business administration, marketing, or a related field;
  • 3 years of experience with sales, merchandising, or marketing;
  • 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role preferred;
  • Able to travel within Canada and to the US for work;
