Overview
As a Project Data Steward, you’ll collaborate with data governance stakeholders to establish and maintain data management standards for the Data Platform. Your responsibilities include analyzing data documentation to identify and define Critical Data Elements, supporting the creation of data retention, compliance, and security policies, and managing data quality issues. You’ll also assist business users with data inquiries, support data governance initiatives, and help evaluate and implement data governance tools. Promoting data awareness and literacy across the organization, you’ll drive continuous improvements in data governance processes, ensure data security and compliance, and facilitate easy access to data. Additionally, you’ll help build metadata repositories, business glossaries, and training materials, and work with data owners to protect data and define key performance indicators.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2–3 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or metadata management. Proficiency in SQL and data governance tools is required, along with a strong understanding of industry standards, MDM technology, and process improvement. You should be organized, analytical, and an effective communicator, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation
Hourly rate : $60 / hr to $80 / hr.
