Senior Manager, Audit/ Tax

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Manager, Audit OR Tax to join our team in the Woodstock/ Stratford area of Ontario. In this role, you will lead audit engagements for private clients, ensuring adherence to detail-oriented standards and delivering high-quality results. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage audit, review, and compliance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, including public and private organizations.

• Develop and implement audit strategies, plans, and deliverables such as working papers, financial statements, and internal control assessments.

• Ensure compliance with Canadian detail-oriented standards, resolving client issues and maintaining high-quality assurance processes.

• Supervise and mentor audit team members, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and detail-oriented development opportunities.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value.

• Support business development initiatives by preparing proposals and fostering new client relationships within the Woodstock community.

• Oversee engagement budgets, billing, and project financials, ensuring efficient management and profitability.

• Contribute to the development and optimization of internal workflows and processes, leveraging technology advancements to improve efficiency.

• Drive a culture of accountability within the team, ensuring project deadlines and quality expectations are consistently met.

• Possess a Chartered Accountant (CPA) designation

• Have a minimum of 4–6 years of experience in public accounting, including managerial experience at a mid-to-large CPA or national firm.

• Demonstrate proven expertise in audit, review, and assurance engagements.

• Exhibit strong technical knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE, ASNPO) and internal control frameworks.

• Showcase excellent client relationship management and business development skills.

• Be proficient in accounting and audit software, including CaseWare, QuickBooks Online, Excel, and other relevant tools.

• Display exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Have a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams in a results-driven setting
