Position Details
Reporting to the Director of Curriculum and Academic Scheduling in the Dhillon School of Business (DSB), the incumbent will provide administrative and operational support to the DSB Dean’s Office and staff. This is a continuing part-time position to commence work as soon as possible. Some flexibility is available concerning whether the incumbent normally works mornings or afternoons, but there is a strong preference that the incumbent be available to work Friday afternoons. The incumbent will perform a variety of duties including :
- General office support, including reception, mail sorting and distribution, submitting and managing work orders, photocopying, and assisting with ordering of office supplies.
- Taking and formatting committee and Council minutes.
- Supporting timetabling and curriculum operational processes, including the creation and distribution of reports, textbook ordering, formatting of curriculum and timetable change documents, and coordination with others involved in these processes.
- Tracking and management of office and promotional supplies.
- Logistical support for events, including room bookings, catering orders, and help in moving and arranging materials for events and set-up of spaces for events.
- Investigating and staying current on university policies, procedures and guidelines as they pertain to the tasks being completed, to provide accurate information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Helping with content updating and organization of material for the DSB Intranet and webpages, and the University Staff Directory.

A diploma or degree in business or administration and at least 3 years of related experience.Strong organizational and time-management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, competing deadlines and requests.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.Strong interpersonal and communication skills .Proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint, and very comfortable with learning and applying other technologies such as online databases, online forms, and survey software.Experience in a post-secondary setting is an asset.Flexibility in scheduling would be an asset; occasional evening and weekend work is required.Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs as part of event set up.Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $3,648.00 - $4,036.00 monthly Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $3,648.00 - $4,422.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 6)
