We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Project Manager in Toronto, Ontario. As a Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing various infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful delivery. This highly-skilled Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing significant infrastructure projects ranging from network redesign, phone system upgrades to SD-WAN upgrades. You will be managing infrastructure projects end-to-end, ensuring successful project completion and meeting the project's goals on time and on budget.

Responsibilities :

  • Project Management : Plan, execute, and deliver infrastructure projects on time, within scope and within budget. Understand the intricacies of infrastructure to ensure efficient execution and problem-solving.
  • Vendor Management : Maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors. Negotiate contracts, communicate expectations, and monitor progress to ensure objectives are met.
  • Infrastructure Upgrades : Oversee the implementation of essential infrastructure upgrades, including network and phone system enhancements, and SD-WAN upgrades. Ensure each upgrade is deployed successfully with minimum disruption to business operations.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans. Manage and mitigate risks when necessary.
  • Reporting : Report on project progress, problems, and solutions. Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project outputs.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in an IT infrastructure role.
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in digital technologies.
  • An ability to strategize and comprehend complex technical data.
  • Strong vendor management experience.
  • Strong hands on experience on Infrastructure technologies : Network, Server, Cloud
  • Experience working within a Microsoft Shop environment
  • Experience in infrastructure upgrades - network, phone system, SD-WAN upgrades.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • PMI / PMP / Prince2 certification is a plus.
