Junior Engineer in the Civil / Geological Areas

We are hiring for the position of Junior Engineer in the Civil / Geological areas at our Vancouver, Canada office.

An ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Geological or Civil Engineering. The applicant must be registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with EGBC. The successful applicant will work on a variety of mining and hydropower projects with multi-disciplinary teams. This position includes opportunities for domestic and international travel and will involve field assignments.

Responsibilities may include the following :

• Site investigations
• Laboratory testing
• Data analysis
• Geotechnical analysis and design
• Construction monitoring
• Report preparation
• Modelling and GIS

Projects that the successful candidate may be involved with include tailings dams, geotechnical support to operating underground and open pit mines, mine infrastructure, water retaining dams, pipelines, and hydropower facilities.

We place an emphasis on developing practical solutions to meet our Client’s needs, and preference will be given to individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in addition to strong technical competence.

The estimated base pay range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 CAD. The salary offered will be dependent on relevant knowledge, experience, and skill level. Knight Piésold’s total compensation package also includes the following :
