Work Requirement

This role will be based out of our Vancouver office and is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

Key Responsibiliies

  • Assists with month-end close, and quarter-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Prepares and maintains fixed asset and intangible schedules and working papers, including analysis on depreciation.
  • Prepares prepaid schedules and calculates / reviews monthly amortization, ensuring adequate backup and support.
  • Prepares variance analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Assist with the posting and reconciliation of intercompany clearing accounts.
  • Assists with the quarterly reviews and annual external audits.
  • Proactively assesses and identifies areas for process improvements and efficient workflows while ensuring adequate internal controls.
  • Maintains SOX compliance by ensuring internal controls and business processes are executed as documented.
  • Assists in ad-hoc projects and provides back-up support for team member tasks as required.
  • Fosters effective and collaborative working relationships with fellow employees and management.

Education and Experience

  • Accounting diploma and 3-4 years’ general accounting and full-cycle accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Skills and Abilities :

  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management and external associates.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Experience preparing account reconciliations and resolving reconciling items.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with top tier ERP systems including S / 4 Hana and Ariba is an asset.

    The Canadian base salary range for this full time position is $71, - $, + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

    The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canadian locations.
