Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will operate a forklift to manage material and commodity requirements for workshop repair, maintenance, modifications, retrofits, and assembly operations. You will process material transactions in the system accurately and promptly, while providing technical assistance and guidance to internal and external customers on material requirement issues and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift for identification, receiving, warehousing, picking, packing, kitting, and material handling.
• Process material transactions accurately and on time.
• Prepare management and log reports and monitor parts usage, shipping / receiving accuracies / discrepancies, and shop floor inventory requirements.
• Support workshop personnel by providing necessary materials to meet schedule requirements.
• Assist in the inventory, disposition, and disposal of scrap and discrepant material.
• Assist in inventory audits or stock checks.

Work Environment

Work in a shop environment with a shift from 6 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm. Overtime is available.
