Job Description :
- Streamline and manage the operating model of the portfolio management system with regards to daily, quarterly and annual tasks, ad hoc requests and issues
- Ensure that the functional requirements are understood, documented and considered correctly in the implementation
- Create and maintain the product documentation for support to the firm
- Capture epics and user stories within JIRA
- Analyze new business requests and support the effort estimation of the team
- Conduct business analyses and technical analyses
- Support testing activities, and advise business stakeholders on relevant issues
- Manage product, vendor and business knowledge for the key portfolio management system
Job Qualifications :
- 8+ years in a similar role (business analysis, business engineering, requirements engineering) in the financial industry
- In-depth expertise in finance, financial products, Canadian regulatory frameworks, portfolio management and advisory processes.
Experience with Mutual funds processes will be a significant advantage
- Good understanding of Software Development processes, preferable experience as a developer
- UML hands-on experience with ability to model domain models or visualize dynamic flows. Ideally familiar with Enterprise Architecture
- Practical SQL skills to be able to conduct data analysis, if required
- Understanding portfolio theory and portfolio management processes
- A large business analysis tool-belt with the understanding when to use which tools (use case modelling, business rule writing, user story writing, state diagrams, flow diagrams .)
