About the Role :
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Systems Designer to lead the design, development, and support of electrical and control systems used in truck and trailer
equipment. This role spans the full product lifecycle, from concept and schematic design through production support and field troubleshooting. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of projects, working closely with technicians and customers, and developing practical, manufacturable electrical solutions for real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Electrical Design & Documentation :
- Design 12 VDC vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and control modules.
- Produce schematics, harness drawings, and panel layouts using CAD tools.
- Create Bills of Materials, assembly instructions, and test procedures.
- Standardize designs to improve manufacturability and reduce lead time.
Embedded & Control Systems :
Develop and support embedded control systems for truck and trailer applications.Integrate sensors, actuators, pneumatic systems, and safety interlocks.Support programming and troubleshooting of microcontroller-based products.Production & Field Support :
Work closely with technicians during builds and commissioning.Diagnose electrical and control issues in manufacturing and in the field.Interface with customers and sales to translate requirements into solutions.System Integration Projects :
Support integration of electrical controls on industrial equipment.Assist with automation improvements, and testing setups.Qualifications : Required :
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.Experience with vehicle or industrial electrical systems (12 VDC or similar)Ability to read and create schematics and wiring diagrams.Strong troubleshooting skills with hands-on electrical systems.Knowledge of RTK and satelite communications.Preferred :
Experience with embedded systems or microcontrollers.Familiarity with manufacturing environments.Experience working directly with technicians or customers.
