Senior Project Manager to lead the management and implementation of various IT capital projects for a healthcare client

This role will be remote possible occasional travel to Saskatchewan (work must be conducted in CST hours)

Must haves:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager, providing comprehensive planning, coordination, and governance of the IT Capital projects within the healthcare sector.
  • Oversee procurement activities and ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
  • Develop and deliver effective communications to partners, stakeholders, and end-users throughout project lifecycles
  • Manage the organizational change associated with projects, ensuring smooth transition and adoption
  • Manage, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of projects throughout entire lifecycles
  • Monitor and report project progress to Manager IT Capital, the Executive Steering Committee, and other stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders using appropriate methods and ensure a shared understanding of objectives by setting clear expectations in line with the project plan
  • Provide oversight for requirements gathering, detailed design, and development of the future state
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Manager IT Capital

Overview:

This position will administratively report to the Manager IT Capital. The individuals will be assigned tasks and responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Manage, schedule and coordinate all aspects of the projects assigned over the entire project lifecycles.
  • Support an effective, proactive cross-functional project team that may consist of both management & non-management individuals in an environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, initiative and open communications; promotes and models the corporate values. Recognize both personal and team success.
  • Maintain a high level of competency in project management related disciplines.
  • Lead project team members as required, in the successful project implementation, project planning, project management, coordination, change management & transition, and communications.
  • Monitor and report project progress to the Manager IT Capital, Executive Steering Committee and stakeholders.
  • Communicate to all levels of stakeholders of project using an appropriate method of communication in a timely manner. Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the project plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members.
  • Issue management, escalation and tracking.
  • Decision making support and tracking.
  • Lead, direct and manage project staff to ensure the effective use of human resources.
  • Organize and direct work including prioritizing assignments, providing regular performance feedback and taking necessary corrective action as may be required.
  • Other tasks & responsibilities as assigned/required by the Manager IT Capital.
