Overview

Forklift Mechanic – Toronto (Steeles and Weston Road).

Day and Afternoon Shift. Competitive starting wage based upon experience.

CMI sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America to prevent waste and landfill use. Our recycling stream ensures metals that enter our yards are repurposed into something new.

Job Summary

CMI is looking for a Maintenance Team member to repair and maintain various types of forklift trucks.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain various types of forklift trucks.
• Test forklift trucks to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
• Install, remove and/or repair attachments and accessories such as clamps, side shifters, push/pulls, lights and audible devices as required.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair batteries and chargers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a forklift technician or auto mechanic.
• Completion of forklift truck mechanics training course an asset.
• Ability to use hand and power tools to repair forklift trucks.
• Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklift trucks.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
