About the Position

Reporting to the AgENT Program Coordinator, the AgENT Program ambassador provides support for coordinating the AgENT programming and everyday tasks. This unique position allows students firsthand knowledge to assist the AgENT Program Coordinator with one-on-one mentorship with fellow students leading to allowing the student to lead these conversations through peer-to-peer mentorship. This student will gain practical skills in sales of the promotion of the program, communication by helping run booths around campus, and leadership through the various events that AgENT hosts around the Polytechnic and community. This student will also gain technical skills through the use of technology available in the Pivot. They will also have an opportunity to get creative with the help of drafting our social media.

This is a unique opportunity for a current student at Lethbridge Polytechnic to gain valuable experience within Southern Alberta’s vibrant innovation / entrepreneurial ecosystem. This role will allow the student to enhance and expand their network through the various connections that the coordinator will introduce them to. This position also allows a student to gain insight into extensive entrepreneurial knowledge on top of the knowledge shared in the workshops. The goal is for the student to shadow the Program Coordinator to understand the complexity of the role and the importance.

Key Responsibilities And Functions

• Attend all AgENT workshops and events and help with setup / take-down for each workshop.
• Work with Program Coordinator and assist with the preparation of necessary documents and supplies for AgENT workshops and events.
• Help maintain the Pivot Space.
• Promote AgENT on campus and support AgENT Program Coordinator with community and Centre for Applied Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship events.
• Regular 1-on-1 check-in meetings with the AgENT Program Coordinator.
• Assist the AgENT Program Coordinator with the AgENT social media account.
• Participate in photo or video content as needed to support marketing and recruitment initiatives.
• Attend industry events as required with AgENT Program Coordinator.

Salary AUPE Class Level 1 Step 1 : $16.25 per hour.
