Junior Planner, Policy – 1 Vacancy

REPORTS TO : Manager of Policy Planning

LOCATION : Initial Placement Paris Customer Service Office

Minimum Qualifications :

• Post-secondary diploma in Urban Design Urban and Regional Planning or related field.
• Two (2) years relevant work experience in a planning building and / or engineering related setting.
• Membership or candidate membership in Ontario Professional Planning Institute (OPPI) and / or Canadian Association of Certified Planning Technicians (CACPT).
• Working knowledge of zoning by-laws municipal planning processes planning principles and applicable legislation (including Planning Act Provincial Planning Statement and Provincial Guidelines).
• Demonstrated tact and diplomacy skills and the ability to exercise discretion and judgment when handling confidential information.
• Proficient in Adobe Reader and Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and Outlook.
• Advanced time management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills including verbal and written.
• Demonstrated safe work practices.
• Valid G drivers license and / or the ability to travel for site visits and between County offices and facilities as required.

Salary Range : $68760 - $80426 (Grade 5) 35 hours per week
