Janitorial Manager

Job Description

As part of the partnership between the Community of Pessamit and Aramark Quebec, we are looking for a Janitorial Manager for the Hydro-Québec Manic-3 camp.

Position: Janitorial Manager
Location: Baie-Comeau

• Ability and willingness to travel or work long rotations away from home.
• Work schedule of 14 days.
• During the camp stay, most days are 10 to 12 hours long
• Transportation is by plane from Motreal or Quebec city airport. Aramark will reimburse expenses to the airport.
• Your meals and accommodation at the camp are provided at no additional cost.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, motivate, and develop teams to maximize their contributions by providing evaluation, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Supervise employees, ensuring that everyone clearly understands the objectives to be achieved.
• Lead and supervise activities related to campground maintenance
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for customers, consumers, and employees.
• Train and develop supervisory staff to become future leaders.
• Perform administrative tasks, participate in scheduling, and provide support to managers.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for customers, consumers, and employees.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment to promote the safety and health of others
• Clean assigned areas in accordance with Aramark and customer standards and requirements.
• Prepare and share compliance reports with the client and internally.
• Conduct regular inspections of kitchens, food storage areas, dining rooms, and storage areas.
• Verify compliance with MAPAQ and HACCP standards and internal policies.
• Comply with established safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the concierge sector, including team management.
• Experience in remote camps is an asset.
• Must be versatile.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and basic precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must be organized, courteous, sociable, diligent, and able to work in a team.
• WHMIS (SIMDUT) certification is an asset.
• Must be able to respond to operational needs.

Requirements:

• Must be comfortable with computers and familiar with MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, consumers, colleagues, and staff.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Must be organized.
• Must be physically fit.
• Must have a positive attitude.

The final candidate for this position will be required to complete and pass a criminal background check and a vulnerable sector check (if required by operations). If you are hired for this position, your employment with us will be conditional upon Aramark being satisfied that you have successfully completed both of these requirements.
