JOB SUMMARY
Come join our fantastic and growing team in Nova Scotia! We are looking for part-time, casual and / or full-time Rehab Assistants to assist us with a NEW innovative community-based program. We are seeking Rehab Assistants who bring passion to their role, enthusiasm, willingness to explore diverse opportunities, and desire to make a difference to the clients they serve. The rehab assistant will be responsible for assisting patients in their homes with various illnesses, impairments and injuries. The rehab assistant will provide treatment to patients up to 3-4 days / week. This program focuses on high intensity rehabilitation, including but not limited to walking programs, transfer training, strengthening and endurance training.

Qualifications - External
Education
Completion of a recognized Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and / or Rehabilitation Assistant College Program Preferred. Will also consider a university degree in kinesiology or related field.
Other Skills and Abilities
Enjoy dealing with people and working in a fast-paced customer service environment. Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent manner. Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team. Ability to be self-directed and take direction. Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers and proficiency with secure email. Commitment to continual learning. Valid driver’s license.
