Accounting Analyst

Northern Credit Union is a full‑service, locally operated financial institution providing personal and commercial banking services along with financial planning expertise to members across Northern Ontario. We are excited to announce a permanent full‑time Accounting Analyst position.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Analyst supports the organization by reviewing and keying invoices, processing vendor payments, facilitating internal and external AFT payments, and preparing month‑end closing and expense variance analysis for reporting purposes. The role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and supporting decision‑making processes within the Finance department. This position ensures accurate financial data and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Business Diploma or post‑secondary credential in a business‑related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services or related work experience.
• Experience using accounting system software and ability to adapt to software changes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles.
• Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of banking systems considered an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for preparing communications and interacting clearly.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, adapting to heavy workloads.
• Willingness to develop new skills and pursue continuous professional development.

Salary Range : $54,860 – $61,718
