We are seeking a Junior Hydrogeologist to join our dynamic Water Resources Group in Fort McMurray, Alberta. As part of the Hatfield team, the Junior Hydrogeologist will support the implementation of hydrogeology components of Hatfield's environmental management projects in northern Alberta. This is not a fly in / fly out role, and requires relocation to Fort McMurray.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Hatfield’s Health and Safety Management Plan, the law, and client health and safety protocols.
• Implement and participate in field programs required for hydrogeologic monitoring.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to collect data to assess potential project-related and / or climate change related impacts with respect to water resources and environmental values.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated to meet operational and field requirements.
• Support ongoing data management (e.g., review of near-real-time telemetry, continuous and periodic water level, and lab data) and reporting to clients and regulatory agencies (e.g., draft technical report sections and data summaries).
• Support research and analytical tasks including data collection, compilation, analysis, statistical and deterministic modeling.
• Communicate technical information efficiently and effectively (verbal and written).

Education And Experience

Experience and interest in field work. Field work in remote locations is required.
