Position : Legal Assistant Location : MontrealAre you looking for your next challenge in the legal field Do you have at least 3 years of legal experience? Are you seeking a hybrid position in downtown Montreal? Our client, a major law firm, is looking for a Legal Assistant to join their growing team!What they offer : - Salary up to $65K depending on experience- 3 weeks of vacation (you can carry those over)- 3 personal days- 2 floating days- 7 sick days- 100% paid benefits- Medical dental- Free coffee and snacks- Employee appreciation- Office activities- Hybrid (3 days onsite)Your profile : - At least 3 years of experience as a legal assistant- Professional diploma (DEP) or college diploma (DEC) in office administration with a legal specialization- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel- Experience with Aderant software or similar billing technologies and a strong understanding of the billing cycle, expense processing, and invoice paymentLanguage Requirements : English- Level of Proficiency Required : Advanced - Reasons for Language Requirement : Communications with offices across Canada- Frequency of Use : DailyYour role : - Draft, revise, and proofread correspondence and legal documents based on handwritten or dictated instructions, ensuring consistent formatting.- Transcribe dictations and manage communications received via mail, fax, or courier, including arranging specialized delivery services.- Screen and direct incoming calls, respond to general inquiries, take messages, and handle client requests as needed.- Support business development efforts by maintaining the accuracy of the professional contact database (Interaction).- Organize client meetings, book meeting rooms, and coordinate catering or audiovisual equipment needs.- Manage deadlines, schedules, and business travel arrangements for lawyers, including updating their calendars.- Conduct conflict-of-interest searches, open new client files, process reimbursements (Aderant), and ensure timely billing and payment processing.- Handle file and document management using iManage and provide administrative support to other legal assistants as needed.Please send your resume in Word format to Maia Slivinschi at maia.slivinschi@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
