Our client in Delta is looking to hire a Human Resources Manager who will be responsible for promoting the company culture and values across all activities related to employee and labor relations, recruitment and selection, communication, employee benefits, training and development, and health and safety.

The strategic, results-oriented, and creative individual will work alongside the management team to communicate a consistent message across divisions and markets to strengthen the brand and advance our global growth strategy.

This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to juggle and remain focused on multiple projects.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop organizational design and restructuring plans to optimize resource allocation
  • Advise, develop, and implement Human Resources practices and policies across the group
  • Lead Human Resources projects such as compensation plan reviews / revisions, organization structure, development, performance management
  • Support talent management and acquisition initiatives to establish a robust pipeline of diverse leadership and personnel
  • Provide expertise on performance management and role KPI’s, offering coaching, motivation and consultation on high performance and productivity and how it relates to compensation advancement.
  • Provide expertise on HRIS implementation to support growth, improve employee self-serve options
  • Ensure Human Resources analytics / metrics for analysis and reporting to support business decisions is captured and readily available.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives to deliver results (including KPIs)
  • Overseeing employee relations issues and resolutions process, as required
  • Conduct rigorous organizational structure and talent review of the group; develop and implement development plans as needed
  • Manage, train, and develop staff in hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements :

Requirements and Skills :

  • Completion of post-secondary degree in Human Resources and CPHR designation
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Human Resources with 1 year of management experience
  • Exceptional ability to consider all the detail, while simultaneously focusing on the big picture
  • Extensive knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights legislations, WorkSafe BC legislation, and unions
  • Ability to manage, influence and plan in a dynamic environment
  • Strong ability to demonstrate analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Calm demeanor with a bias for action and taking the initiative to ensure results
