About The Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a professional who serves as a key field‑based scientific partner to healthcare providers and decision‑makers, medical professional associations, and internal UCB colleagues. This professional will be responsible for executing key medical strategies to enhance and positively impact patients living with chronic inflammatory diseases.

Who You’ll Work With

This position will support our Immunology Patient Value Unit (PVU) in an assigned geography.

What You’ll Do

• Maintaining deep scientific knowledge in Immunology, preferably Dermatology
• Identifying, establishing, and maintaining collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical specialists, and researchers, and conducting scientific exchanges in areas of focus.
• Delivering clinical value propositions and engaging with key decision‑makers in medical groups, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and regional payers.
• Identifying and supporting potential research expansion projects, collaborations, medical advisors, and educational partnerships.
• Conducting local roundtables and education programs to enhance KOL understanding of unmet clinical needs.
• Serving as a scientific expert at medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings, and internal meetings.
• Supporting and collaborating with field‑based cross‑functional teams to provide medical insights and expertise.
• Reviewing and critiquing scientific publications to inform healthcare trends in Immunology.
• Collecting, analyzing, and communicating information concerning therapeutic areas, treatment options, emerging standards of care, and competitive intelligence.
• Addressing medical information inquiries and providing effective clinical presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Locally supporting UCB clinical investigations and assessing feasibility, serving as the primary liaison for unsolicited Investigator‑Initiated Studies (IISs) from inception to publication.
• Providing field updates for the creation and / or updating of Standard Response Letters.
• Operating at the highest level of UCB compliance and professional standards. Ethical decision‑making and adherence to company guidelines are expected in all activities.

This position’s reasonably anticipated base salary range is $125,200 - $164,325. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
