Content Marketing Specialist

Your role

As a content marketing specialist, you work closely with the company’s president and its digital marketing specialist to manage all marketing initiatives. You directly contribute to the company’s strong online presence and its continued growth. You research online trends for insurance-related keywords and topics to develop content for the company’s website. You promote this content through the company’s social media accounts as well as through third party websites. Your success in this role comes from superior communication and analytical skills. You use your creativity and resourcefulness to identify opportunities and overcome challenges. You are detail-oriented and organized, handling multiple projects and tasks with ease.

Your responsibilities

Working in Square One’s marketing department, you are directly involved in all digital marketing initiates. As such, you have many important responsibilities, including:

• Researching online trends for insurance-related keywords and topics.
• Developing written content for the company’s website.
• Optimizing content for search engines.
• Promoting content on the company’s social media accounts.
• Building quality backlinks with third party websites through research and outreach.
• Keeping apprised of changes in marketing and search engine optimization.

Your education + experience

Your experience and education helps ensure your success at Square One. For this role, you have:

• A degree or a diploma in business, communications or marketing.
• A focus on marketing to consumers.
• A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using WordPress and Google Analytics.
• Strong knowledge of social media sites, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
• A general insurance license level 1 preferred.
• 3 years of professional experience preferred.

• A base salary of $54,000 – $58,000 per year.
• 3-weeks of vacation to start and an additional week after only 5 years.
