How you'll make an impact
About the Role
Are you a professional looking for a career that offers growth, excitement, and the opportunity to make a difference? Look no further! We're seeking a highly motivated and resourceful individual to join our commercial lines team as an Account Executive, Small Business Insurance.
In this role, you'll have the chance to showcase your skills and make a significant impact on our business. You'll develop and acquire new business revenue from both new and existing clients in the insurance sectors or market areas.
Plus, you'll have the opportunity to represent the company in select associations and work in a fun and collaborative team environment.
How You Will Affect the Business
- Develop new business and manage client relationships, including interviewing clients for prospective risk exposures / issues and presenting quotes.
- Plan and prioritize sales activities to achieve sales targets.
- Own the client renewal process, arranging and attending appointments, and providing updated file information for renewal and / or re-marketing when necessary.
- Represent the company in select associations.
- Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.

What You Bring
- 3 years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Level 1 and / or Level 2 provincial insurance license
- Proven track record of attracting and retaining commercial clients.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Ability to learn on a continual basis through educational opportunities and collaboration with colleagues.
- Proficiency in MS products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe products.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Insurance designations and / or completed courses towards designations.
- Client service and advocacy experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a successful team to achieve objectives.
- Solution-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to develop resourceful and innovative approaches and solutions.
