To fulfill our operation needs, we are currently hiring for a Part-time Senior Truck Driver (Class 3 License with Air-brake) to make deliveries for our BC division.
Position Summary :
The Part-time Senior Truck Driver (Class 3 License with Air-brake) will make frequent deliveries. This role involves frequent movement and lifting.
Applicants must hold a Class 3 driver’s license and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The driver will be operating a Tandem axle straight truck to deliver goods to restaurants and retail stores in BC Interior areas including Penticton, Kelowna, Vernon, and Kamloops.
Working Hours :
- Saturday and Sunday
- Start working at 4 : 00am
Responsibilities :
- Operate a tandem axle straight truck safely in accordance with the company’s delivery standard operating procedures and the Motor Vehicle Act regulations.
- Deliver to retail stores and restaurants.
- Move goods inside customers’ premises (kitchen / storage).
- Check inventory against invoices with customers.
- Collect cheques and cash where needed.
Requirements / Must-Haves :
- Class 3 driver’s license with air-brake endorsement and a clean driving abstract.
- Ability to operate a tandem axle straight truck safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and Motor Vehicle Act regulations.
- Knowledge of BC Interior areas.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Assets / Nice-to-Haves :
At least 2 years experience operating Tandem axle straight truck
