Responsibilities
Develop and maintain applications and databases by evaluating business needs, analyzing requirements, and developing software systems.Gather and evaluate business requirements using analytic skills and rapport with department heads.Identify project requirements by analyzing business needs and preparing workflows using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.Execute the development of applications by programming system features and functionality.Verify correct system program operations through testing and modify program operations based on results.Maintain workplace professionalism and contribute to team‑related efforts.Follow programming guidelines and corporate business policies and procedures.Provide technical support and solutions.Provide occasional after‑hours support to maintain business continuity and address critical system issues when necessary.Perform other duties as required.Qualifications
Post‑secondary diploma / degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.0–2 years working with SQL and DB2.5+ years working with IBM AS400 or IBMi, RPG, RPGLE, RPG‑FREE, CL, and Query.Experience in an IT development role within automotive or insurance industry an asset.Background working with accounting, financial and insurance practices an asset.Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office (Word / Excel) required.Fluent in English with proven verbal and written communication competencies required.Fluent in French an asset.Successful completion of criminal background check, education verification, license and certification verification (where applicable), and employment reference checks required before employment.Seniority Level
