Project Coordinator / Junior Estimator

Dawson Construction i s looking for a Project Coordinator / Junior Estimator  who has a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

As a Project Coordinator / Junior Estimator at Dawson Construction , you will play a key role in supporting project operations and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish. This is a seasonal, full-time position, where you will report directly to the Project Manager & Estimator and collaborate with project teams to help deliver high-quality construction projects. Your base location will be Kamloops, British Columbia and will require travel throughout our province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Monitor project progress, track key deliverables, and report on project performance to the Project Manager.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
• Conduct site visits to monitor work quality, safety compliance, and progress.
• Assist with bid preparation and tender submissions, including takeoffs, pricing support, and bid documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and negotiation of change orders and claims.
• Facilitate communication between internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to address project challenges.
