An opening exists in the School Markets Division for the position of Marketing Intern, School Markets reporting to the Specialist, Reading Club Marketing (Print & Email).
Work Location : This is a hybrid position. The expectation is for most of the day-to-day work to be done remotely, with opportunities to visit Scholastic Canada’s Toronto and Markham offices in person to attend occasional in person events and training.
Role Summary
The School Markets Marketing Intern will assist the Product and Marketing teams fulfill the back-to-school campaigns in English and French for our Book Clubs and Book Fairs divisions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Editing and proofreading print and digital marketing pieces in English and French.
- Assisting with quality assurance testing the new Book Fairs Host Hub and Learning Lab.
- Testing website assets and content in English and French.
- Supporting with social media content creation.
- Some administrative tasks and data entry as required.
Qualifications
Interest in children’s books, authors, education, and media.Full professional fluency in English and FrenchPersonal values that are aligned with Scholastic’s Credo, including a demonstrated understanding of the importance of broadening representation of marginalized communities within the publishing industry.Exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to multitask and work well in a deadline-driven environment.Excellent communication skills, detail oriented with a professional attitude.Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being able to take initiative and ownership over tasks when applicable.
