What to expect :
The summer student will be working in the capacity of Education Program Coordinator with CWB Welding Foundation and supports the Program Manager for all related program needs, including but not limited to, CWB Welding Foundation programs.
Projects will include development and implementation of programs that increase the awareness and education of welding to encourage more individuals to explore careers in welding and other skilled trades. Program focus on reducing barriers to participation to all, in particular under-represented groups such as women, Indigenous people, racialized, persons with disabilities, LGTBQ+ communities and others.
This position will primarily work from your home office, with travel to events and conferences at host organizations. This position may be required to work evenings and / or weekends to support community engagement and events as required.

In this position, you will report to the Program Manager and will work out of their home office, travel will be required from time to time. CWB has adopted a remote-first working model, where employees will work from their home office, servicing the client within their specified areas either remotely or in person. We are embracing radical flexibility, where employees are encouraged to work a schedule that works best for them, their team, and their clients.
