The Opportunity

Halifax Water is hiring for the job of Information Services Support Technician I . This is a Term opportunity in the I&T Services Group and has full-time hours .

The IS Support Technician I role is to support and maintain the HRWC computer systems desktops and peripherals. This includes installing diagnosing repairing maintaining and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Planning :

Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.

Assist in software releases roll-outs and communication to the end users.

Liaise with and provide support to staff on computer operation and other issues.

What youll need

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must have a Grade 12 diploma a post-secondary diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology and 6 months experience relating to Information Technology Support and Communication.

Additionally you must possess one of the following : Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) CompTIA Network and or A or an equivalent certification.
