Summary
We are seeking a 3rd year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student to work within our Development Engineering Team, for an 8 month Co-op Term.
The successful candidate will work closely with other team members in providing support to various products manufactured at S&C and will gain exposure to engineering design principles as well as manufacturing techniques
Work Term : Winter 2025 - 8 Month Co-op (Jan 2025 - Aug 2025)
Work Arrangement : Onsite, 5 days per week.
Job Responsibilities
- Design revisions using Solid Edge 3D CAD software
- Support Development Team projects; exposure to mechanics, electronics, high power electrical, software and systems engineering
- Investigate product designs to meet customer requirements
- Assist with product testing (mechanical, electrical, software)
- Responsible for managing short duration projects from initial concept to prototyping to implementation
Qualifications
- 3rd or 4th year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student with a strong interest in power systems engineering
- Able to work an 8 Month Co-op placement for the Winter 2025 work term
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A team player who is also able work to independently under supervision of a senior team member
- Structured problem-solving experience and exposure to Lean principles
- Quick learner
- Experience using 3D modelling tools such as, Solid Edge, is a strong asset
- Experience with product development testing, an asset
