Summary of responsibilities
In collaboration with the Program Director, Department Managers, and interdisciplinary team members, plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates the activities of the Inpatient and Outpatient Allied Health Team, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care. Responsible for Human Resource, Fiscal, and Risk, management through a continuous quality improvement and patient safety lens. Critically analyzes data to support informed operational decisions.
Requirements of the job
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
- Holds current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) or the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO).
- At least 1 year of formal leadership experience
- Recent related clinical experience
- Excellent people, time management, conflict management, and organization skills
- A solution focused, critical thinker, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives at the same time
- Strong data analytic skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, Outlook, databases, scheduling)
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and continuous quality improvement
- Knowledge of collective agreements and experience working in a unionized environment
- Functional proficiency in English, oral and written
