Senior Backend Engineer (AWS) at Lumenalta
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Lumenalta, you will design and implement robust backend systems, ensuring our applications are secure, scalable, and efficient. You will be responsible for working closely with DevOps and frontend teams to deliver high-performance applications that leverage AWS cloud services and Kubernetes. Your role will also involve managing infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK and monitoring systems with tools like Grafana and Loki. We are looking for passionate individuals passionate about backend development, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize backend systems using Python and integrate with AWS cloud services.
- Design and deploy scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3) ensuring security.
- Manage containerized applications on Kubernetes with proper scaling and load balancing.
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform or AWS CDK for repeatable provisioning.
- Implement monitoring and logging with Grafana and Loki to maintain reliability.
- Collaborate with DevOps, frontend, and product teams for cohesive, secure applications.
- Automate workflows and optimize performance for low latency and high availability.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of backend development experience, cloud-native focus.Proficiency in Python for services and scripting.Deep experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).Hands‑on Kubernetes orchestration expertise.Familiarity with Grafana and Loki monitoring.Experience with IaC tools (Terraform or AWS CDK).Strong problem‑solving skills and troubleshooting ability.Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration.Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps).CI / CD pipeline automation experience.Security best‑practice knowledge for cloud‑native apps.Experience with Azure or GCP.Location & Employment
Fully remote. Candidates must be based in the US Pacific, Central, or Eastern time zones. Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.
