GCP Developer

Overview

Adastra is seeking a skilled GCP Developer to join our team. As a GCP Developer, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in Python, SQL, Apache Beam or Dataflow, and various GCP services to design, develop, and deploy robust solutions.

Location: Toronto, Hybrid (1 day/wk onsite)

Status: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache Beam or Dataflow to process and transform large datasets.
• Utilize strong SQL skills to optimize data queries and ensure efficient data retrieval.
• Design, develop, and deploy applications on GCP, focusing on key services such as BigQuery (BQ), IAM, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage.

Job Requirements:

• Python Knowledge: Proficiency in Python programming language to develop efficient and scalable applications.
• Strong SQL: Solid understanding of SQL and experience in optimizing queries for performance and data manipulation.
• Apache Beam or Dataflow: Hands-on experience with Apache Beam or Dataflow for building and executing data pipelines.
• Understanding of GCP System: In-depth knowledge of GCP services with a focus on BigQuery (BQ), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage.
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify potential solutions, and implement effective strategies.

Nice to have:

• GCP Security: Familiarity with GCP security practices, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance frameworks.
