We’re searching for a driven and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Manager to join the Finance team at an award-winning design firm with studios across Canada and beyond.

In this role, you’ll lead the charge in managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. You’ll also champion best practices in financial management while working alongside a high-performing team.

What You’ll Do

  • Take the lead on full-cycle accounting for multiple Canadian and U.S. entities, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to meet accounting standards.
  • Oversee general ledger management, monthly reconciliations, and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with auditors, address findings, and implement recommended improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency, automate processes, and integrate best practices.
  • Ensure timely filing of government reports (e.g., GST / HST, QST, corporate tax, and Statistics Canada surveys).
  • Manage the Accounts Payable and Treasury team, fostering their growth and success.
  • Tackle exciting ad-hoc projects, providing financial insights and analysis.

What You Bring

  • CPA designation (or equivalent) with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and compliance. Bonus if you’ve worked in the architecture, engineering, or design industry!
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP S4Hana and BST preferred) and advanced Excel wizardry.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a knack for solving problems independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
