We are currently accepting applications for Custodian . Under the supervision of the Facilities Operations Manager and the direction of the Head or Lead Custodian the Custodian is responsible for the appearance of the building and operation of a specific worksite. The Custodian works as a member of a larger team composed of the custodial staff of multiple worksites such as a family of schools. The Principal may provide direction to the Custodian within the school in conjunction with the Facilities Operations Manager.

Qualifications and Experience :

• A secondary school diploma with a minimum of six months cleaning and general maintenance experience in a school facility is required.
• Demonstrated experience in small equipment repair and maintenance is an asset.
• The successful candidate may be required to obtain specific courses and / or certifications relevant to his or her worksite(s) such as water treatment certificate lockout / tag out fall arrest WHMIS etc. within a specific period after hiring and / or during the period of employment.
• Enrolment in or successful completion of the Building Environmental Systems (BES) courses are an asset.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is required.
