The Position
The Customer Account System Administrator supports and enhances the work of the Solid Waste & Recycling Department by administering technology solutions at TNRD solid waste management facilities. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor of Solid Waste & Recycling, this position oversees scale house and transfer station point of sale operations, including administering the scale and mobile software system, overseeing waste disposal fee processing and monthly account customer billing, resolving customer service issues, tracking and reporting waste and recycling data, coordinating weigh scale maintenance to ensure regulatory compliance, providing training to contractor staff on operational procedures and ensuring bylaw / policy compliance by contract staff / site users.

This position falls under the provisions of the Collective Agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 900. The placement of the Customer Account System Administrator is at Pay Grade 8, which is $2,772.99 to $3,207.89 / biweekly or $72,097.74 to $83,405.14 / annually (2025). This position requires a Criminal Record Check and a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License (must provide a clean Driver’s Abstract).
