About the role
Our growing team is looking for a Product Owner!
You will take a leading role in developing digital products that are part of our portfolio for all our Canadian distributors. Whether it’s policy servicing, customers acquisitions or digital e-marketing, you will bring to life our strategy and vision to offer our distributors the best in-class digital tools to help improve customer experience and distributors efficiency.
Working with several other product owners, you will take part in the development of our products with internal and external engineering teams ensuring that we create value for our customers and distributors along the way.
This role reports to the Manager, Product Management.
Workplace : Saint-Hyacinthe (2450, Girouard W St), Montreal (2020 Robert-Bourassa Blvd) or Laval (Espace Montmorency).
What you'll do here :
Communicate with stakeholders, internal and external, to define the product vision and strategy ensuring their interests are included in the release.
Follow-up with stakeholders on a need basis. Inspire the team to deliver best-in-class products.
Responsible for the business aspects of the project including ensuring the right product is being built in the right order and release is developed by the deadlines.
Leads, plans, tracks and is accountable for all phases of the product life cycle from the beginning of the project to the introduction into the marketplace.
Responsible for product evolution afterwards and technical debt.
Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes or resource additions.
Ensures business objectives and targets are met through data analytics, and feedback.
Determines products KPIs, objectives and measurements.
May be responsible for feasibility studies, field trials management, identifying product gaps, defining product requirements, and engaging with customers to understand market needs and trends.
Build and define a vision and long-term roadmap for the products in accordance to business and user needs and market trends.
The product owner is also responsible to sell that vision to stakeholders.
What you bring to the table :
Domain expertise with brokerage technology is a strong asset but not essential.
Domain expertise in the Personal Lines or Commercial Lines is also a strong asset.
College or bachelor’s degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
Experience as a Product Owner.
Experience as a Scrum Master a plus.
Strong experience dealing with external vendors and supply chain.
A leader, able to foster a positive working environment without direct reports.
Highly organized.
Excellent communication skills, succinct.
Fast learner, autonomous and creative.
Able to work in a team and share your ideas.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite.
Good understanding of Adobe Analytics is a strong asset.
Bilingualism (French and English) –
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
