Tenure :   Full-Time, 1 year contract with possibility of extension

Location :   Stayner, ON

Hours :   7 : 30 am - 4pm

Pay Rate :   $27 -$40 / hr

Responsibilities :

  • Proficient in building mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and building automation systems, with familiarity in Fire Code regulations and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and repairing defective parts using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper reassembly for operational efficiency.
  • Supports the facilities team with general building maintenance tasks and assists with routine repairs and maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Thrives in fast-paced settings while maintaining efficiency and composure and is physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems and / or 433A Millwright license is preferred.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, repair work, or a related field is required.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Basic proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and relevant maintenance equipment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors effectively.
