Are you enthusiastic about exploring new technology and providing exceptional technical support to others? Do you possess strong organizational and project management skills to effectively prioritize tasks? Our client, a leading manufacturer in Brantford, Ontario, is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Software Developer to join their progressive team, on site , 5 days a week .

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document applications to meet business requirements
  • Modify and maintain existing applications
  • Provide technical support to end users for applications
  • Build, maintain, troubleshoot production and test web servers and database servers
  • Develop applications to work with peripherals (label printers, scanners)
  • Communicate with both internal and external personnel including employees and product manufacturers
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Software Engineering or Software Development
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role with preference from a manufacturing environment
  • ASP.NET (C# and VB.NET), Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Visual Studio and MySQL
  • Web services, XML, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and CSS
  • Understanding of OO techniques and relational data models
  • Subversion and TFS version control
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Strong math skills

    • Salary Range : $63k-$66k
