Classroom Teacher

Role Description / Criteria

St Thomas the Apostle is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teacher for a full-time classroom position with a negotiated start date for the 2026 school year. This is a fixed-term maternity replacement position until the end of the 2026 school year with the possibility of extending into 2027. You would be working with a committed and friendly staff within a strong and supportive school community. This is a fabulous opportunity for a Graduate, or someone in the first few years of their career. The school is focused on MACs Vision for Instruction and the science of learning. The successful applicant will have the capacity to :

• build and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
• support the Catholic ethos of the school and the RE program
• provide effective differentiated teaching in the key areas of literacy and numeracy
• provide engaging, contemporary learning opportunities across the curriculum
• a capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
• work collaboratively with staff
