PROFIL

Project Manager

Our client is a company specialized in the design, fabrication and installation of miscellaneous metals and structural steel for the construction industry. We are hiring a Project Manager (PM) to join its deeply experienced team.

Full time, permanent on‑site.

Salary is offered based on experience (up to $90K).

RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will work directly with the management team on the flow of information internally, to the client, and to subcontractors. The PM must be a highly motivated team player and goal‑oriented individual that is willing to put the time and attention required to ensure the success of the projects.

• Manage all functions and steps of the project life cycle.
• Coordinate with the Production Managers for all shop drawings and fabrication.
• Coordinate with the buyer for the purchase of all materials.
• Coordinate with the Office Manager for all contract and project documentation.
• Coordinate all interactions with the General Contractor’s PM’s and foremen.
• Coordinate installation and ensure that projects are completed on time.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent understanding of the construction industry and project management, especially in miscellaneous metal and structural steel projects.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret architectural and structural drawings; perform material take‑off, estimation and prepare shop drawings.
• Proficient understanding of current construction practices, methods and materials.
• Knowledge of building codes and structural steel standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
• Direct experience managing miscellaneous metals and structural steel projects either with the specialized sub‑trade or with the general contractor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Preferred bachelor’s level education. Postsecondary education with direct industry experience is accepted. Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry.
