Application Information
The Saskatoon Housing Authority is currently looking to fill an Accounts Receivable Technician position. This is a full-time, term position lasting up to a year within our finance team. Please note, this is a unionized position.
In this position, the responsibilities include :
- Applying payments to tenant accounts, voids and corrects payment types where necessary, also sending pre-authorized payment information to the bank.
- Collaborating with the Tenant Relations Department to ensure the accuracy of tenant account balances and resolve discrepancies as required.
- Creates and completes daily cash deposits, tracks deposits to the bank, and ensures sufficient cash for floats as required.
- Generates the accurate and timely payment of security deposits to departing tenants.
- Participates in other accounting functions such as journal entries, general ledger account analysis, reconciliations, budget preparation (including entry), reconciling M&I (capital) expenditures, and other items.
- Prepares the bank reconciliation.
- Reconcile daily tenant receipts to multiple transaction types.
Education, Experience, and Requirements :
Completion of an accredited business program within accounting and / or finance.Two years or more of experience in a related position (preferred).Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel; experience with other data systems is beneficial.A clear and satisfactory Criminal Record Check (required upon hire).Possess a valid driver's license, have ownership and use of a roadworthy vehicle, with third-party liability insurance.We thank all applicants for their submission and will be in touch with qualified candidates.
