Domtar – Tanguay Operator Position

Location : Port Mellon, British Columbia, Canada. Position : full‑time permanent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑job equipment inspection.
• Safely operate Tanguay loader.
• Load logs onto infeed deck.
• Work with utility men and splitter operator to process oversize logs.
• Daily maintenance of machine : grease joints, check for cracks, replace or assist in replacement of hydraulic hoses.
• Assist in breaking open bundles and log sorting.
• Remove bundle wire ropes and stack appropriately.
• Clear log deck and conveyor jam ups.
• General housekeeping in the plant : keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hourly rate : $40.46.
