Inside Sales Representative

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join their team. Based in the GTA you will cover all industry sectors where their product applies: automotive, kitchen and bath, office furniture, windows and doors, showcase and displays, picture frames, specialized packaging, and more. The company prides itself on its ability to bring value-add solutions to their clients rather than selling strictly on price. You will support the outside sales team as well as handle new clients directly through requests for quotes. A proactive and customer service approach is essential!

Position Description

You must be a strong communicator with a passion for customer service. An aptitude for measurements, weights and numbers along with an inquisitive mind will allow you to bring value where their competitors aren’t as practiced. As everything is custom manufactured, knowledge of the manufacturing process and quoting based on project is required. Candidates who have only quoted from a catalogue of products do not have the experience we are after.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of solutions-based inside sales experience, representing a customized manufactured solution
• Strong client development skills and a passion for building relationships

Qualifications

• Must have sold a manufactured product that has a project management component to it
• Solid understanding of production
• High energy, a passion for finding solutions for your customers and top notch customer service skills
• Solid understanding of the manufacturing process and production issues
• Very sound math skills
• An understanding of computers, measurements, basic geometry and the ability to read blueprints an absolute asset

Education

• University Degree or post-secondary education preferred, or appropriate work experience
• Mechanical Engineering or CET an asset
