Medical Radiation Technologist

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled Medical Radiation Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine to perform a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic molecular imaging procedures as part of our client medical team in Thunder Bay, ON. You should be highly knowledgeable in nuclear medicine technologies, committed to patient safety, and experienced in delivering efficient, accurate imaging services in a healthcare environment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and a dedication to quality improvement and professional practice standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine and molecular imaging examinations including SPECT/CT, PET/CT, nuclear cardiology, and bone mineral density procedures.
  
• Provide timely, safe, and efficient imaging services while optimizing equipment performance.
  
• Obtain informed consent, verify patient information, and maintain accurate documentation.
  
• Coordinate daily workflow, prioritize emergency cases, and adjust schedules as needed.
  
• Follow all radiation safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and CMRITO Standards of Practice.
  
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service support.
  
• Conduct radiopharmacy tasks and quality control procedures.
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and support student education.
  
• Evaluate patient satisfaction and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  
• Participate in health and safety training, promote workplace wellness, and represent the department as required .
  

Qualifications:

• Advanced Diploma in Molecular Imaging (3-year program) from an accredited institution.
  
• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  
• CAMRT registration preferred.
  
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification preferred.
  
• Ministry of Labour "Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps" certificate required.
  
• Recent experience in a Nuclear Medicine department within a healthcare setting preferred.
  
• Strong knowledge of SPECT/CT, PET/CT, nuclear cardiology, bone densitometry, radiopharmacy, and related imaging procedures.
  
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and apply positioning protocols accurately.
  
• Understanding of radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
  
• Experience with quality improvement methodologies and performance measurement.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and patient information systems.
  
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  
• Commitment to patient and workplace safety.
  
• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check required.
  
• Adaptable, professional, and capable of working independently or within a team.
  
• Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  
• Reliable attendance record and ability to meet physical demands of the role.
  
• Ability to travel between local sites as required.
