As Senior Financial Analyst, you will drive TELUS forward by uncovering critical insights, collaborating directly with leadership, and shaping Opex and Capex decisions. You will own the regional CSD Profit & Loss (P&L), Capex governance, and key financial metrics across vital portfolios, transforming complex analyses into clear, actionable intelligence. Your budgeting, forecasting, and reporting expertise will enable confident engagement with senior leaders and shape essential business decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Be a Trusted Financial Advisor : Build strong partnerships with the CSD & Enablement teams, connecting operational metrics to financial results while influencing key decisions.
- Collaborate to Drive Performance : Lead interlock with regional leadership teams to highlight drivers behind results and influence actions required to improve Business Unit financial scorecard metrics.
- Elevate Reporting Standards : Manage and enhance month‑end reporting for VP and General Manager (GM) regions, delivering detailed P&L variance analysis, trend insights, and regional cost‑to‑serve evaluations.
- Develop Strategic Frameworks : Collaborate with key stakeholders to create and refine cost comparison frameworks across GM regions, enabling more informed decision‑making.
- Support Comprehensive Reporting Cycles : Provide detailed analysis on headcount, materials, and business metrics to enhance the Finance team’s month‑end and annual reporting processes.
- Solve Complex Problems : Lead ad‑hoc investigations and deliver tailored analyses and reports to address emerging business challenges and opportunities.
- Lead Capital Governance Efforts : Drive the capital governance process by partnering with project owners to monitor progress, address roadblocks, and expedite project execution.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4‑5 years of relevant analytical experience in finance or accounting roles within complex, large‑scale business environments.Curious and collaborative mindset, actively engaging and influencing leadership in decision‑making.Proven track record in P&L analysis with meticulous commitment to providing additional insights beyond the numbers.Strong communication and presentation skills, adept at crafting compelling narratives for executive audiences.Excellent time management, able to scope complex tasks, set clear objectives, and prioritize multiple activities in a fast‑paced environment.Proficiency in Google Suite, especially Google Sheets with advanced pivot tables, charts, and dynamic formulas.Advanced Excel skills, including complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, charting, and automation.Experience with KPI dashboards using Tableau or Looker Studio is an asset.Great‑to‑Haves
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, such as operations.Proficiency in pulling reports using SAP / BW or other ERP software.Familiarity with data analysis from Domo / Power BI dashboards.CPA designation or actively pursuing one.Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.#J-18808-Ljbffr
