Job Purpose

The Microelectronics Process Engineer will develop and implement new manufacturing processes for RF, optical, and microelectronic components, modules, and sub-systems.

Nature of Duties / Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and development teams to provide process engineering solutions supporting new product development, NPI, and manufacturing.
• Possess wafer level assembly experience; manage projects and timelines to meet milestones.
• Support R&D related to optical and microelectronic processes.
• Operate high-end automated assembly equipment.
• Develop processes for optical and microelectronic modules, including SMT, flip chip assembly, underfill, bonding, encapsulation, and alignment.
• Troubleshoot process issues and guide less experienced team members.
• Research engineering problems to develop new policies and processes.
• Create process documentation, design tooling, and qualify new processes.
• Research and procure new equipment, support customer NPI builds, and optimize manufacturability and yields.
