We are looking for a customer-oriented , motivated individual to join our professional team as an Fuel / Propane Dispatcher at our Airdrie, AB branch.

Please note, to be considered for this position applicants should currently be residing in Canada and legally entitled to work.

What You’ll Be Doing

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Plan, coordinate and dispatch delivery of bulk propane and diesel fuel to our customer’s construction sites using information from system software to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Manage the daily activities of 10+ fuel trucks and 10-15 drivers, keeping an activity log of delivery times
  • Coordinate with counter personnel on priorities and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation
  • Schedule, coordinate and record maintenance and repairs of trucks / bulk fuel storage equipment
  • Ensure storage tanks are always full and properly certified and inspected
  • Provide leadership with regards to emergency policies and procedures
  • Maintain and document on-site inventories and communicate findings to staff daily; strong commitment to inventory control
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Analyze customer needs and requirements, and present customers with equipment rental solutions
  • Act as a point of contact for cycle billing, customer invoices, contract filing, propane or equipment exchanges, weekly open order contract report reconciliation
  • Collaborate with other branches to improve operational efficiency
  • Support the branch with other duties that may be required
  • What You’ll Bring to the Team

    Qualifications and Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in logistics is an asset but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills including professional phone manner and adherence to proper email etiquette
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and propane and diesel operated equipment are definite assets
  • Must have knowledge of the geographical Calgary area
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with air brake endorsement and abstract in good standing
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, organizational skills with careful attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Strong initiative with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
  • Comfortable with computers and computer operated systems
  • Mechanical knowledge is an asset
  • Honest fun-loving attitude with a passion for our business
